This stand is at the lower end if the wetland and is buffered by a forested upland and a wetland. There is a trail nearby, but I doubt this area is visited much. No game plots nearby.;I'm unsure how stable this community is as it appears to be a forest which is becoming more inundated with time. The outer edge fades to marsh species with less tree cover while the upland edge is decidedly forested. Most of the plot is fully or mostly inundated with hummocks supporting heath species. There are Quercus alba which established themselves just outsid, but are dying out due to increased inundation.
Representativeness
Forested edge of wetland which appears to be becoming more inundated. The herbaceous layer contains more shade tolerant wetland species. Well represented except for the western edge which is still forested, but contains more marsh species.
